Born as the oldest of three sisters, Emma Gelaude studies Human Science in high school and continues with Psychology at Ghent University.

She goes to art school in her free time for nearly 7 years and has a profound interest in aesthetics. Living partly in Milan to proceed a modelling career, she gets inspired by the fashion industry to start her own business.

In 2007, at age 21, Emma launches a premium personal styling & shopping agency. Because there’s no pr budget, she also starts an online blog sharing outfits, styling tips and inspiration in order to spread the word. Belgium’s first fashion blog becomes an instant success and wins 2 awards.

Many opportunities in media, modeling and design follow.

Emma carefully selects the right partners and creates blog campaigns with Jean Paul Gaultier, Agent Provocateur, YSL, E-bay, Chanel, Cartier, Land Rover and many more.

She was the co-founder of Ghent Fashion Night and briefly involved with the organization of a highly anticipated 3-day shopping event at the Belgian Coast, Knokke Fashion Weekend. The EMMA Styling Corner traveled around the country restyling men/woman at fairs. For M.A.C. Cosmetics she selected her own eye shadow pallette and with Diamanti Per Tutti a jewellery line was launched.

In 2017 she writes her second book, Make My Dream Work, published by Manteau where Emma shares her story as a fashion entrepreneur on the highs, the lows and the learnings of running your own business.

In 2018 (-2020) she becomes an official Marie Claire columnist for both print & online highlighting activists around the world who dare to speak out out against the status quo.

Yet 2018 also marks the end of an era.
The world changes and so does she. Emma is no longer the 21 year old fashionista but a mother with strong opinions & deep longings who wants to make sure she uses her voice in the right way. To create a better and more beautiful world for her daughter and for everyone around.

A collaboration with high end magazine L’officiël starting in 2019 where she’s free to create 4 inspiring pages for each edition is a first step on her new path.

Midst 2020 she receives an offer from Borgerhoff&Lamberights to write her 3rd book on finding your true voice based on her own spiritual journey. ‘Alles goed voor de rest minder’ will be for sale as from April 2021.
